I didn’t know the name Ed Gein before starting this series. Well…I know who Ed Gein is now. I also kind of know how to make a lamp out of human skin. This series is as disturbing as it is fascinating. It’s a ride of many different emotions and Charlie Hunnam is the driver. I went from “This is fucked up,” to “What? He inspired these movies, cool how they portrayed this?,” onto “Can he please just have standard sex this time?” to “Didn’t think he’d take it here…didn’t think one could go here…wait he really did that?!” and finally to “Oh man this guy is really sick, I kind of feel sorry for him.” And I’ve never really thought about evil people being inspired or having hero’s. High caliber filmmaking across the board.
